Teamfight Tactics - Patch 14.4 Mock Patch Notes & Game Balance Analysis & Reflection

Teamfight Tactics (TFT) is an auto-battler developed by Riot Games, where players build teams of champions that battle automatically in a round-based format. This project is a personal design exercise that puts me in the shoes of a balance designer, analyzing external data to identify meta trends and overperforming units and traits.

 

I drafted specific balance changes aimed at encouraging a wider variety of viable team comps. After completing the mock patch, I compared it with Riot’s official Patch 14.4 to see where my decisions aligned or differed with the professional designers, and eventually discussing my reflections towards the differences.
